William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright and actor who was one of the most important and famous writers of the English language. He is also known as the national poet of England and “Bard of Avon”. His greatest works include 38 plays, 154 fourteen verse poems, 2 long expository poems, and many more verses and writings. His plays were adapted into many languages ​​and many playwrights performed his plays.

Shakespeare was born in Stratford, above Avon. At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway. They later also had three children, Susan and twins Humnet and Judith. In 1585–1592, he began his career in London as an actor, writer and co-owner of the Lord Chamberlain’s Men, a drama company. He retired from Stratford in 1613 at the age of 49 and died about 3 years later.

He left his studies due to poor financial condition.

He did his schooling from a local school, Stratford Grammar School. Due to the increasing financial difficulties of his father, he had to leave his studies and get into small business. After this he went to London in search of livelihood in 1587, in London he worked on a small job in a theater. But after a few days he became a member of Lord Chamberlain’s company and began to participate in acting from time to time in the major theaters of London. where he became an actor and playwright.

By 1608 he had written tragic plays, including Hamlet, Othello, King Lear and Macbeth. In his last days, he wrote sad and happy plays. Including some exciting drama. Shakespeare’s mature life is found in the final plays. The great poet had various experiences in his life, whose glimpses are visible in his works.

Shakespeare retired from Stratford in 1613. William Shakespeare died on 23 April 1616, 3 days before his birthday. In the memory of Shakespeare, many statues, monuments have been installed around the world. Which shows the immense love people have for this great poet and playwright.
