Sara Ali Khan is an Indian actress who works in Hindi language films. Born in the Pataudi family, she is the daughter of actress Amrita Singh and actor Saif Ali Khan. She is the granddaughter of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore and maternal grandmother of Shivinder Singh Virk and Rukhsana Sultana.

Sara Ali Khan was born on Saturday, 12 August 1995 in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is the daughter of Bollywood’s famous actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. He has a younger brother, Ibrahim Ali Khan, who was born on 5 March 2001.
Sara’s grandfather was a Pataudi and her grandmother was born in a Bengali family. Sara is half Pashtun and half Punjabi; Since his father is of Pashtun descent while his mother is Punjabi.

In the year 2004, his parents got divorced after 13 years of their marriage. Sara and her brother were raised by their mother. His father married the famous Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor for the second time on 16 October 2012.
His half-brother Taimur Ali Khan was born on 20 December 2016. Kareena Kapoor was pregnant with her second child in 2020. On 21 February 2021, she welcomed her second half-brother when Kareena Kapoor gave birth to her second son at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.
